Um. Hmm. Well.... I thought it was a Jersalem artichoke, but it isn't as knobby as one of those. It looks interesting. I say scrub it, steam it, and dip it in butter and eat it. If you don't post again tomorrow, I'll know you should've launched it. Sorry.
It looks vaguely rutabaga-ish.
Personally, it's green & grows in the ground so IT MUST GO!!! Throw it out & buy a bag of Cheetos. I know how to prepare Cheetos: open bag, poor in bowl, eat!
